Winter Is Here

Walking to work today and everything was frosty, which was lovely for about 4 seconds, then my face was freeeeezing for the rest of the way, I needed a hot water bottle for my face by the time i got into the office, not fun! 

Another thing that really isn't fun is the fact that when I step out of bed in the morning I may as well be doing this... 

Anyway aside the cold I don't have much gossip at the moment just trying to keep my head down at work and be good, which isn't always fun but in the current climate is wise. Boo Boring boring boring,

Dear Tesco

When I purchase a reduced price stir fry mix I do not expect to find a mouldy pepper nestled in between my veggies, I have now had to throw it away. Its a good job I have a crafty jar of Lloyd Grossman pasta sauce in the cupboard, I tell you, or I would be whipping your ass right now. 

Dear man on the bus home

Dear man on the bus, do you know that you smell of pork? Yes I was stood next to you and smelled your hammy aroma it took me a moment to work out it was you. You then pulled out a packet of pork scratchings (that's dried pork fat in a packet to anyone who doesn't know.) 

Now dearest man on the bus with long greasy hair, I am quite judgemental and I think you should know that eating your hairy pork fat snacks is not good for you or your aroma and is certainly not acceptable to eat on a bus. In future I would suggest only eating them while showering or drinking mint tea as your aroma of pork fat while on a warm bus home is almost enough to make me feel faint. Please in future try harder not to smell up the bus with your porky smell, thank you. 

In other news I had a picnic with one of my ace - est mates today and it was full of wonderment, the rat running past us as we were finishing didn't even ruin the mood! Haha, we rock.. you know who you are...

Today has been hard, one thing after another! but tomorrow is another day and I'm currently sipping a beer and chilling, going to go on the x box and escape for a little while!

Today in the life of me!

Today at work was horrific, i'm getting trained up for the phones in a well known UK bank and have spent the last few weeks at work in a classroom learning things I will never remember! So yeah Work = Boring I think that is pretty much all you need to know about that. Went to the gym after work and totally made a dick of myself, they give you a little key thing programmed with all the exercises you should do that day but for some reason they have put quite a few weight machines on mine, however they don't call them simple things like ... leg press or whatever... no I got one called Low Prs Ex, thats literally what popped up on my little machine that says where to go next... i wandered for a while looking like a loser before giving up and over riding the thing by going on the treadmill, Haaaa little stupid machine.. HA!! 

So this weeked I became a slave to two things 

On friday night I brought a massive pack of 36 wonderful little jaffa cakes. My logic was that they can be quite sickly so I wouldn't gorge myself on them too much. This was a mistake. It turns out that when i am bored i can sit and eat 12, yes 12 one after the other, I didn't even feel sick. So i managed to eat a pile this big from friday.... though it did only cost me £1.20 haaa!!

I also have just eaten a massive plate of this and it was DE - LISH but now im gonna have to go exercise again tomorrow. DARN! 

In better news Im watching glee and i love it! It really makes me want to go back to school and start some sort of glee club, though i can't sing i think i could bop around in the background! Jane lynch is one of my favourite actresses ever, she makes me laugh so much!!

For The Quiet Hour

I have been meaning to start this blog properly for ages and trying to think of something that's worth blogging about. I can't so i'm just going to start and then see what becomes of it! There is a lot to know about me but there is not much point stating it all in my first post. I'm sure it will all unravel through the course of this blog if i actually manage to keep this one going!


Anyway back to the title of the post. I was in oxfam last weekend and I found this little book called For the quiet hour. Its small and leather bound, but that soft leather that doesn't really look like leather at all, ooh i've just worked out how to post a picture here it is... 

Shame about my rank nail polish but oh well.. yeah and this book is just filled with quotes and sayings under headings of just about anything you could think of! Anyway as good as all that sounds the reason I 'had' to buy it was the inscription in the front ..

In case you cant read it it says To Mrs Balton .. A little gift of remembrance from the clinsdale sisterhood, May 6th 1912. How incredible is that. nearly 100 years old and here I am with it. I dunno I just love it. the paper inside is like parchment and the top edge of the pages are still gold  but they are worn on the main edge.  I don't know why I just really love it, i think its awesome when you find something so special.  

Not sure why I started with a love blog about this book as I'm certain the rest of my posts will fall into a mundane - ness about boring everyday life. It's always good to start on a high thought!
