No Sleep For You!

I have a question for you today...

Why on earth would my brain want to keep me awake all night, knowing full well that I have to go to work today?
Whhhyyyy?!

I didn't feel anxious or worried about being late or sleeping in.
Puuurrfect.
I wasn't worrying that the girl from The Ring was lurking on my bedroom floor.
I just couldn't google her guys, she's a beast.
Note: I will worry about her lurking on my floor tonight now.

I wasn't worrying about the fact I have no idea what i'm doing at work.
Disclaimer: I don't do this at work. ha.
I also wasn't worrying about the fact the rain made it sound like the ark was en route.
I friggin love Evan Almighty.

In fact I wasn't worrying at all, I was just awake, wide awake. More awake in fact than I normally feel though out most days. I tried everything to fall asleep but to no avail! Sleep did not find me until around Two am. Even when I wasn't working, come one o'clock I was catching Zzzs which just proves how much of a bugger last night was.

The only thing that was going around my mind last night was...
What would I do if I won the Euromillions Jackpot.
...

Moneeeyyy
Upon reflection for many many hours, I have decided I will win when it is a super roll over, so I have so much money I can sort everyone out and never have to worry about money again!

It's gonna be friggin mint.
MINT
Actual Mint
Minty Fresh.
Oh my word writing this has just reminded me that I once fell asleep in a media lesson at college with my head resting on a milkshake bottle. Woke up to find my friend across the room laughing at me but no one else had noticed. Now that my friends is called WINNING.

Hands up who thinks I won't sleep tonight?

I'll probably be too busy thinking of different varieties of Mint.
P.S: If you don't already know, saying mint is kind of like saying awesome. I only learnt this when I moved up north!

Love you!

Love, me

Karma is a beast

Hiya!
I want to start this off by telling you that quite a while ago I went into oxfam and found a really old little book called For The Quiet Hour. That book was the reason I started this blog and even though we have come on a really long way since then, I just want to mention it today because the message written in the front was written 100 years ago today. I think that's kind of special, especially in times when everything feels so disposable. If your interested in it here's what I said about it quite a long time ago.
http://furtivelittlefeelings-manic.blogspot.co.uk/2010/02/for-quiet-hour.html

I have a lot of feelings I want to talk about with you regarding this book. It was going to be today, but it just isn't, and I really want to do it justice, soon though.

Okay so i'm going to just tell you a short story of something stupid that I did yesterday. Mainly because some of you will have already have read what I wrote this morning and I don't want to bore you too much!
Basically because i'm such a beast I decided to scare my sister (again). I was going for a bath... because, well you know it was a Saturday night and I am totally rock and roll. I had a plastic bag in my hand and called my sister in a spooky voice from just outside her door.
She said "I'm not opening it, your going to scare me"
I said "I won't"
She waited
Then slowly opened the door.
I jumped forwards and shouted BWAHAHAHAHA whilst rustling a plastic bag.

Then the unthinnkable happened, I got my come - up-pence... she shut my fingers in the damn door.

The Paiiin
...
The Shaaame

Only vaguely relevant, "pain face"
Karma is a bitch people. It leaves you with a slightly wonky finger and a severe stabbing pain. I think I need to stop scaring people... Oh my god no, I need to start filming it and putting it on here! YES.

I may lose a finger or two in the process, will need to weigh my options.

Have a super bank holiday!

Love you!

Love, me.

Plans for the future

Ok don't freak out...
I know this is really rare but i'm posting before midday today.
*pause*
So now we are all over that shock, this is just going to be a little post about my plans for this blog. I was talking to one of my lovely friends ...
Ready for your close up?
Who pointed out that I always seem to post something at around the same time of day. So here I am mixing it up a little bit.
My main plans here are firstly to occasionally try and make this whole thing a little bit more interactive! I know most of you out there are reading but not commenting, which is totally fine if you have nothing to say! I'm thinking that if I do a few posts that require a bit of interaction hopefully a few of you may respond well. That's kind of a scary thing though because i'm very aware that I will probably crash and burn.
Another thing I want to do is mix it up a little bit, but that's going to remain under my hat until the time comes for something a bit special.
The only other thing I'm considering is doing this whole thing over on Tumblr as well. Another friend told me apparently that's the done thing these days! Fear not my lovlies if you are reading on here then nothing will change about where you need to click!
Oh and i'm going to give this whole page a makeover reeaally soon I just keep putting it off because it's hard!

Again, A million thank yous to everyone who comes here. Feel free to share the link that sends you over here. Lets share the love and my ongoing online embarrassment.

Today's proper post will come later on. For now I must venture out of doors.

Love you!

Love, Me

First day at school, I mean work

Today was my first day at a new job and because I love you all so much i'm not going to lie. My brain is fried.
Mmm Fried.
So I'm going to begin at the beginning (and try not to just sing frank turner at you).
I got on the bus and told the driver which stop I needed. Me being super awesome looked it up on traveline and it gave me a stop by stop thing. According to traveline I was only going to be on the bus for about twenty minutes. However the bus driver had never heard of the stop I was talking about, Fourty minutes later I was almost having a heart attack when the bus finally stopped somewhere that was close to the place I needed to be. Turns out it does a huge loop (I think) but anyway I did get there on time and wasn't late. Hoorahs!
Its a confetti cannon, duh.
I wasn't shunned which is always a bonus, everyone seems nice enough but at the moment my head is just battered (much like the above chicken) with all the information that was thrown at us today. My nerves pretty much went away as soon as I walked into the building, I guess because I had no choice but to just man the hell up. There was a slightly awkward moment at the beginning when three of the nine of us newbies were chatting away and the rest of us just sat feeling quite awkward, but we soon got over that!
I dare not write in too much detail about it. It was fine, seems to be lots to learn so I've stocked up on painkillers to get me through tomorrow. Good news?
Booyahh!!
Its funny how much it felt like today was a first day of school, we all sat round the desks looking up at our 'teacher', put our hands up when we had a question, went on our breaks when we were told and I managed to get the giggles a few times. I make an excellent first impression.
Not a school picture. Lets just pretend it is though.
Fingers crossed that its not too bad once I actually know what i'm doing. Once you have worked for a call centre I think everything just seems exponentially better than that. But we shall see. Just to reassure you this really won't turn into a 'feelings' blog, I rarely have feelings (hah). I'm sure tomorrow I will fall down some stairs or dribble water down my chin which is enough to keep us amused for the next few days.

I also have a strange pain in my leg.
hmm

Love, Me.

Lets Get Real

Hello,
Let me just say (again) how much I love anyone who is reading this, writing is something I have always enjoyed and found freeing so to know someone is out there reading my babble just makes my heart happy!

Saying that though, normally if you click on this blog it's to find out what crazy calamity has happened to me recently. Today is going to be a little bit different, today i'm going to talk about actual real feelings that I have *gasp*. Basically tomorrow i'm starting a new job, don't get too excited its just temping doing some admin work. I'm unsure how much I dare say at this moment in time because at one of my old jobs you weren't allowed to say anything, what so ever. (Because they wanted to hide how crap it actually was to work there). I really need to find out if i'm technically allowed to talk about it now that I have left. Boy do I have some funny stories about that place!

For now I will just say that in eighteen months of working there this face was NEVER seen.
Hello you're speaking to Natalie *shoots self* (not really, I don't approve of guns)
I'm reverting back into lets make it funny mode. Ahem, here's the thing guys, I'm nervous about tomorrow. I only went down to sign up with the agency today and got a call a few hours ago asking could I start tomorrow. It's not been that long since I had a job but working for Waterstones was something I had done before so I was more excited than nervous. Mainly because most people who work in bookshops are awesome (and they were). The job before that (see photo above) I wasn't that nervous about because I was living away from home at the time so my main thought was ohthankgodmoney.

What if they don't talk to me?! What if i'm shunned to a corner or if I can't do the work! What if no one sits with me at lunch. Oh god. Stop.

See what most of you don't know about me is that aside being super amusing and witty (i just wrote willy then hahaa!) oh god i'm a child. Anyway what most of you don't know is that I get nervous all the time! I get nervous if i'm going on a trip that's going to be really fun for heavens sake. Mainly right now i'm just wishing that tomorrow was over and done with, I hate the first day  of not knowing anything, urgh.

This post is getting really text heavy... Sorry!!
Nawww
There is one good thing that could come out of this though. New stories to help me stay funny and aid me in my effort to humiliate myself via the internet.

Love, Me.

New Job

Starting a new job tomorrow. Feel a bit ill.
Perhaps more later?
